Daily Opening Prayer:

O glorious St. Agnes, you served God in humility and confidence on earth and are now in the enjoyment of His beatific vision in heaven because you persevered till death and gained the crown of eternal life. Remember now the dangers that surround me in the vale of tears, and intercede for me in my needs and troubles. Amen.

O sweet St. Agnes, like the wise virgins, you were always ready for the coming of the Divine Bridegroom. Obtain for me the virtue of purity and a great confidence in the mercy of God.

St. Agnes, invincible martyr, who, even at the age of thirteen, was not afraid to die for your faith, obtain for me a true courage and a firm faith.

Day 3: Perseverance in Love
St. Agnes, who, by your martyrdom, hast given us an example of faith and fortitude, obtain for me the grace to overcome all temptations and to persevere in the love of God.
