Novena for Deliverance from Evil

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Daily Opening Prayer:

O Adorable Jesus, hidden in the Real Presence in the Blessed Sacrament, our Divine Savior and Mighty Deliverer, we come before You in humble trust, seeking refuge beneath the rays of Your merciful love. You have warned us, through Your Divine Appeals, of the raging battle for souls, and the subtle deceits of the devil, who prowls day and night to lead us into ruin. We acknowledge our weakness and nothingness before You, O Lord, and we cry out for Your saving help. Cover us with the light of Your Real Presence, that the shadows of the evil one may never overtake us. Clothe our minds with Your divine truth, that we may reject every lie of the tempter. Fortify our hearts with the fire of Your love, that we may resist the coldness of sin. Let the power of Your Precious Blood be our shield, and the sweet strength of Your Holy Name be our defense in every trial.

Day One – Protection Beneath the Light of Your Real Presence

O Adorable Jesus, present in the Blessed Sacrament, You are the Light that drives out all darkness. The devil seeks to blind us with confusion and falsehood, but You have called us to remain in Your Eucharistic radiance. Keep us always before Your Real Presence, that our souls may be guarded from deception and error. May Your light expose the devil’s snares, and may we cling to You with steadfast faith.
Jesus, our Light and our Refuge, deliver us from the powers of darkness.
Amen.

Day Two – Strength Against Temptations of the Flesh

O Adorable Jesus, You know our human weakness and how easily we fall into sin. The devil stirs the desires of the flesh, seeking to enslave us. Through Your Divine Appeals, You call us to purity and self-denial. Strengthen us to reject the devil’s lures and to master our bodies in holiness. Fill our hearts with love for You, so that no earthly pleasure may rival the sweetness of Your Real Presence.
Jesus, our Strength and our Purity, deliver us from the spirit of impurity.
Amen.

Day Three – Protection from the Spirit of Pride and Self-Reliance

O Adorable Jesus, You humbled Yourself to dwell among us in the hiddenness of the Blessed Sacrament. Yet, the devil sows pride in our hearts, urging us to exalt ourselves and reject Your grace. Teach us the beauty of humility, that we may recognize our nothingness and rely entirely upon You. Break the chains of pride and self-sufficiency, and let us rest in the shelter of Your mercy.
Jesus, our Humble King, deliver us from the spirit of pride.
Amen.

Day Four – Guarding Our Minds from Deception and Confusion

O Adorable Jesus, You are the Eternal Truth. In these times, the devil floods the world with lies, distorting what is good and leading souls astray. You have warned us through Your Divine Appeals to remain watchful and grounded in Your Word. Guard our minds, O Lord, from every deception. Fill us with the wisdom of the Gospel and the teachings of Your Church, that we may discern truth from error.
Jesus, our Truth and our Wisdom, deliver us from the spirit of deception.
Amen.

Day Five – Freedom from the Chains of Despair and Discouragement

O Adorable Jesus, You are the Fountain of Hope. The devil seeks to imprison souls in despair, whispering that our sins are too great and that Your mercy is beyond reach. Yet, You assure us that Your love and forgiveness know no limits. Let us cling to Your Divine Appeal: “My joy is to forgive.” Strengthen us to rise after every fall, trusting always in Your mercy.
Jesus, our Hope and our Mercy, deliver us from the spirit of despair.
Amen.

Day Six – Protection from Hatred and Division

O Adorable Jesus, You are Love Incarnate. The devil sows hatred, discord, and resentment to divide families, communities, and hearts. Through Your Divine Appeals, You reveal how this grieves You deeply. Root out every seed of bitterness within us, and unite us in the bond of Your peace. Let Your love reign in our hearts and overflow to those around us.
Jesus, our Peace and our Love, deliver us from the spirit of hatred.
Amen.

Day Seven – Strength to Resist Worldly Attachments

O Adorable Jesus, You teach us that this world is passing away, yet the devil entices us with fleeting pleasures and material comforts. Through Your Divine Appeals, You call us to detach from earthly things and seek the treasures of Heaven. Free our hearts from greed and vanity. Help us to desire You above all and to find our joy in Your Real Presence.
Jesus, our Treasure and our Fulfillment, deliver us from the spirit of worldliness.
Amen.

Day Eight – Shielding Our Families from Diabolical Attacks

O Adorable Jesus, You have shown us that the devil wages war against families, seeking to destroy the domestic church. In Your Divine Appeals, You call us to prayer and vigilance within our homes. Protect our families from division, sin, and spiritual indifference. Bless our homes with the image of Your adorable Face and the devotion of daily prayer, that You may reign in our hearts.
Jesus, our Guardian and our King, deliver our families from the enemy’s assaults.
Amen.

Day Nine – Final Perseverance and Victory Over Evil

O Adorable Jesus, You assure us that the powers of hell cannot prevail against those who remain faithful to You. The devil seeks to drag souls into eternal ruin, but You call us to perseverance in prayer and sacramental grace. Clothe us with the armor of faith, and sustain us with Your Body and Blood. May we never stray from You, so that, at life’s end, we may rejoice in Your eternal victory.
Jesus, our Savior and our Eternal Victory, deliver us from eternal ruin.
Amen.

Daily Closing Prayer:

O Jesus, Eternal Victor over sin and death, break every chain that binds us to the enemy, and drive far from us the spirits of confusion, pride, impurity, and despair. Let Your angels encamp around us, and let Your Holy Mother, the Queen of Heaven, crush the head of the ancient serpent beneath her immaculate heel. Guard our homes, our families, and all we hold dear, that the cunning plots of the devil may never prevail against us. Keep us ever close to You in the Most Holy Eucharist, for in Your Real Presence, we find our strength and salvation. May we remain faithful to You until the end, and one day, rejoice in the eternal victory of Your glory. Amen.
