St. Anne is honored as the patroness of mothers, grandmothers, childless couples, expectant mothers, women in labor, educators, and families. She is also invoked for finding a suitable spouse, for Christian marriage, and for spiritual and temporal needs of the home.

Opening Prayer (to be said each day):
O Good Saint Anne, we come to you with confidence, since you are the mother of Mary and the grandmother of Jesus. You are powerful and kind. You are close to us and to all people. You help all those who pray to you. Your sole desire is to lead us to Jesus, to obtain from Him all the graces we need in order to follow Him with joy and peace.
We entrust to your care all our intentions and all our needs. Help us open our hearts to the graces of the Holy Spirit. Protect the Church, our parishes, and our Church leaders. Take care of our families and those who are sick. We commend to you all who are dear to us, especially our children and grandchildren.
O Good Saint Anne, through your intercession help us bear witness to Jesus by our Christian lives. May we proclaim His message of hope and love. Amen.
Daily Novena Prayer
Glorious St. Ann, we salute you and rejoice at the favors which God in His infinite goodness has bestowed upon you. He has chosen you to be the mother of her who brought into the world the Savior of mankind, and has endowed you with the special privilege of assisting those who invoke you in their troubles and needs, both spiritual and temporal.
Relying on your powerful intercession, we, though poor sinners, come to you this day and place ourselves under your motherly care. Receive us as your children, and in pity refuse not to hear us, but show your never-failing goodness toward your humble clients. Let your lips, sweet Mother, graciously plead on our behalf. Be our advocate; recommend us to the infinite mercy of the Savior; obtain for us forgiveness of our sins and the grace of humble and lasting repentance, together with all the blessings conducive to our temporal and eternal welfare.
Especially recommend to the heavenly Father our present needs, for which we have undertaken to make this novena [mention them silently].
Blessed Ann, holy Mother, we also ask you for the grace of a special devotion to the most holy Virgin Mary, your daughter, that we may share in her prayers and her favors. Please recommend us to her. She will refuse you nothing, and will welcome with loving kindness all those for whom you intercede.
Ask her to watch over us with maternal care during our journey upon earth, that we may overcome the enemies of our salvation, grow in piety and the love of God, and obtain everlasting life.
St. Ann, sweet Mother, strengthen us in our temptations, deliver us from all evils, console us in our afflictions, assist us in our needs, help us to carry out our good resolutions, lead holy lives, die good deaths, and obtain eternal happiness. Amen.
Closing Prayer (to be said each day):
We entrust our families to you, good Saint Anne. Keep a careful eye on them and guard them against all physical and spiritual danger. Our families are where our lives unfold; they are our vital setting, made up of the people we love most in the world. Our families are the small communities where we live through a succession of joys and pains. They are, in a way, our home churches.
We know that the model of all families is found in the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph. You yourself, Saint Anne, with your husband Joachim and your daughter, the Virgin Mary, gave an example of an ideal family. Help our families to be as closely united as yours and that of Jesus. Make us love and help one another as you did.
Saint Anne, you were a spouse, a mother, and a grandmother. Bless all the members of our families. Keep us united and always faithful to the Lord. Help all Christian families to become a living example of love and peace to those they meet. May they proclaim Christ and His Gospel by word and charity.
Through your intercession, may the whole family of the children of God, the Church, remain faithful to Jesus. Amen.
