Novena to the Most Holy Trinity

Start Date: June 6, 2025
End Date: June 14,2025
Feast Day: June 15, 2025

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Opening Prayer (to be said each day):

God Eternal Father,
Bless us through the love with which You have begotten Your only Son from all eternity and shared with Him the fullness of Your Divinity. Bless us through the love by which You have adopted us as Your children and made us partakers of the treasures of Your Divine life. Bless us through the love by which You sent us Your Son and the Holy Spirit to work the miracles of Your power and mercy in our lives.
Grant that we may always revere and honor You as our great God and love You with all our hearts as the best of fathers.

Eternal Father, grant our petition:
(Mention your request)

God Eternal Son,
Image of the splendor of the Father, bless us through the love with which You surround us, Your poor creatures. You became our Brother according to the flesh, to make us Your brothers and sisters according to Your Divinity and a reflection of Your Divine glory. Bless us through the marvelous goodness of Your Sacred Heart, which chose death to bring us life. Bless us through the love with which You intercede for us before the throne of the Father, remain with us in the Blessed Sacrament, and give Yourself to us in Holy Communion.
May all this love and suffering never be in vain for us.

Eternal Son, grant our petition:
(Mention your request)

God the Holy Spirit,
Mutual Love of the Father and the Son, bless us through the love with which You proceed from Them and unite Them in eternal unity. Bless us through the love with which You give Yourself to us as the greatest Gift, pouring out Your Divine grace and transforming sinners into children of God. Bless us through the love with which You dwell in the Sacred Heart of Jesus, through Whose merits grace floods the earth and makes it a dwelling place for the Most High.
Grant that we, Your faithful servants, may always follow Your lead, grow in virtue, and reach eternal joy.

Eternal Holy Spirit, grant our petition:
(Mention your request)

Most Holy Trinity,
Godhead indivisible—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—our first beginning and our last end, You have made us in Your own image and likeness.
Grant that all the thoughts of our minds, all the words of our mouths, all the affections of our hearts, and all our actions may always conform to Your holy Will. And after having known You on earth through Your manifestations and by faith, may we one day come to see You face to face and possess You forever in heaven.

Amen.

Day 1 – The Glory of the Trinity in Creation

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth… Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness.”
Genesis 1:1, 26

‘The Father is that which the Son is, the Son that which the Father is, the Father and the Son that which the Holy Spirit is, i.e. by nature one God.’
Catechism of the Catholic Church, 253

Reflection

Today we begin by giving glory to the Most Holy Trinity—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—for the gift of creation, especially the dignity of being made in God’s image. From the Father’s almighty power, the Son’s redeeming love, and the Spirit’s sanctifying grace, we were brought into being, redeemed, and daily transformed. Let us remember that our lives reflect the glory of God when we live in the truth of who He made us to be.

Prayer

Glory be to the Father, Who by His almighty power and love created us, making us in the image and likeness of God.
Glory be to the Son, Who by His Precious Blood delivered us from hell and opened for us the gates of heaven.
Glory be to the Holy Spirit, Who sanctified us in the sacrament of Baptism and continues to sanctify us by the graces we receive daily from His bounty.
Glory be to the Three adorable Persons of the Holy Trinity, now and forever. Amen.

Day 2 – The Trinity’s Mercy in Redemption

“In this is love, not that we have loved God but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the expiation for our sins.”
1 John 4:10

“The Blessed Trinity is present in the soul that is in a state of grace. God dwells in that soul and makes it His heaven.”
St. Elizabeth of the Trinity

Reflection

Today we contemplate the overflowing mercy of the Most Holy Trinity. Though we were lost in sin, the Eternal Son took on our flesh to redeem us by His Precious Blood. By Baptism, the Holy Spirit begins to dwell within us, restoring us to the image of God that we had darkened by sin. Let us gratefully rejoice in the love that saves, sanctifies, and keeps us close to the heart of the Triune God.

Amen.

Day 3 – The Indwelling Presence of the Trinity

“If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word, and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.”
John 14:23

“The Holy Trinity dwells in the heart of the just soul as in a temple. The Father loves us, the Son sanctifies us, and the Holy Spirit guides us.”
St. Padre Pio

Reflection

On this third day, we reflect on the mystery that the Holy Trinity is not distant from us, but dwells within every baptized soul in a state of grace. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit abide with us—loving, guiding, and sanctifying us in the silence of our hearts. Let us foster an awareness of this Divine Indwelling and live each day with reverence, joy, and interior recollection.

Amen.

Day 4 – Living in the Image of God

“Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness.”
Genesis 1:26

“The divine image is present in every man. It shines forth in the communion of persons, in the likeness of the unity of the divine persons among themselves “
Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1702

Reflection

Today we marvel at the dignity given to us by the Most Holy Trinity: we are made in God’s own image. This likeness is not just a mark of our creation—it is a calling. Each day, through grace and cooperation with the Holy Spirit, we are invited to grow into a clearer reflection of the divine life. Let us ask for the strength to live in a way that reflects the holiness, truth, and love of the Triune God.

Amen.

Day 5 – Sanctified by the Spirit of God

“Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?”
1 Corinthians 3:16

“Baptism not only purifies from all sins, but also makes the neophyte ‘a new creature,’ an adopted son of God, who has become a ‘partaker of the divine nature,’ member of Christ and co-heir with him, and a temple of the Holy Spirit.”
Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1265

Reflection

Through the sanctifying grace of Baptism, we are claimed by the Holy Trinity. The Father adopts us, the Son redeems us, and the Holy Spirit transforms us into living temples of God. Let us treasure this divine indwelling and strive to live lives worthy of the sacred presence within us.

Amen.

Day 6 – Adopted into the Divine Family

“See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.”
1 John 3:1

“Through Baptism the Christian is sacramentally assimilated to Jesus, who in his own baptism anticipates his death and resurrection. The Christian must enter into this mystery of humble self-abasement and repentance, go down into the water with Jesus in order to rise with him…”
Catechism of the Catholic Church, 537

Reflection

By the saving work of Christ and the sanctifying grace of the Spirit, we are made children of God. The Holy Trinity has drawn us into Their eternal communion of love. Let us rejoice in this divine adoption and live as true sons and daughters of the Most High.

Amen.

Day 7 – Living in the Grace of the Trinity

“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”
2 Corinthians 13:14

“The ultimate end of the whole divine economy is the entry of God’s creatures into the perfect unity of the Blessed Trinity.”
Catechism of the Catholic Church, 260

Reflection

The Holy Trinity is not a distant mystery but the intimate source of our life, love, and destiny. Every grace we receive draws us deeper into communion with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Let us live in constant gratitude and reverence for the Trinity who dwells within us.

Amen.

Day 8 – The Trinity Dwelling Within Us

“If a man loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.”
John 14:23

“The Holy Trinity has made us its dwelling place: ‘If a man loves me,’ says the Lord, ‘he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our home with him”
Catechism of the Catholic Church, 260

Reflection

The Most Holy Trinity, in infinite love, has chosen to dwell in the hearts of those who love and obey Christ. We are not abandoned or alone—God lives within us. Let us respond with fidelity and awe, striving to remain a worthy dwelling for the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Day 9 – Sharing in Divine Life

“The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.”
2 Corinthians 13:14

“By sending his only Son and the Spirit of Love in the fullness of time, God has revealed his innermost secret: God himself is an eternal exchange of love, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and he has destined us to share in that exchange.”
Catechism of the Catholic Church, 221

Reflection

We were created out of love, redeemed by love, and sanctified by love. The Most Holy Trinity is not only our origin but also our destiny. As this novena concludes, let us rejoice in our call to eternal communion with the Triune God, and resolve to live in love, faith, and unity with Him and one another.

Amen.

Closing Prayer (to be said each day):

Almighty and Everlasting God, by the profession of the true faith, You have given us, Your servants, grace to acknowledge the glory of the Eternal Trinity, and in the power of Your Divine Majesty to worship the Unity. We beg You to grant that, by our fidelity in this same faith, we may always be defended from all dangers. Through Christ our Lord. Amen
